There will be fireworks when St Etienne and Olympique Lyon square off against each other in the Derby Rhone-Alpes on Sunday evening. St Etienne suffered yet another dip in form in the Ligue 1, with the team losing to both Reims and Strasbourg in the previous two league fixtures, and, as a result, their elite division status remains in great danger. Les Gones, on the other hand, suffered a shocking 1-0 loss to Metz at the weekend, but despite the defeat, they remained in the race for the title.

Lyon are eager to get back on course in the national championship, and given St Etienne’s current form, we believe that there is a big value in betting on the title-chasing side.
