Ireland will be aiming to make amends for a 1-0 loss to Wales when they take on Bulgaria at Aviva Stadium on Wednesday evening. The Boys in Green have been struggling in this edition of the UEFA Nations League, with the team collecting no more than two points in the process. However, it seems as if Ireland will not have a better chance than this to return to winning ways as they play host the rock-bottom side.

Jeff Hendrick is suspended for the hosts after he was sent off in the defeat to Wales. Bulgaria suffered a 2-1 defeat to Finland at the weekend, with the team extending their losing run in Group 4 to four games. Considering that the Bulgarians are low on confidence ahead of the trip to Dublin, we are tempted to put our money on Stephen Kenny’s troops.
