Our prediction for this Europa League match:
Wolfsburg will be looking to build on a 4-0 win over Kukesi when they host Desna at their Volkswagen Arena in the Europa League third qualifying round. The Wolves kicked off their qualifying campaign in style, and, no doubt, they will go all guns blazing at Desna in Thursday’s showdown. Dutch attacker Wout Weghorst continues where he left last term, and the 28-year-old, who scored a brace in round 2, will be the man to watch in the home team.
The Ukrainian outfit, on the other hand, face an uphill task on their Europa League debut. The visitors are likely to adopt a defence-minded approach in Thursday’s clash, but preventing Wolfsburg from scoring at Volkswagen Arena is easier said than done. Pylyp Budkivskyi is widely expected to lead the line for the visitors against Wolfsburg, but he is unlikely to help the Ukrainians make a miracle in Germany.
