After sharing the spoils with Fleetwood Town on the road, Wigan Athletic will be looking to return to winning ways in League One when they host Shrewsbury Town at the DW Stadium. The Latics are eager to escape the relegation zone, but beating the high-flying Shrews is easier said than done. In their last home game in the league Wigan were hammered by Rochdale (0-5), which is yet another reason why we are not tempted to put our money on the hosts.

Oliver Crankshaw, who scored as a substitute in the 1-1 draw with Fleetwood, is pushing for a start. The Shrews, on the other hand, are on a three-game winning run in the English third tier. The visitors are after their fourth consecutive clean sheet in the league, and they are surely capable of finding the net against Wigan, who have been struggling at the back of late.
