Our prediction for this League 1 match:
Saturday’s football game at DW Stadium pits together Wigan Athletic and Plymouth, the two teams who sit in the opposite halves of the table. Following back-to-back wins over Portsmouth and Doncaster, Wigan suffered a dip in form, with the team losing each of their last three league fixtures. The Latics are eager to give fans something to cheer about, and they are likely to go all guns blazing at the Pilgrims.
Plymouth, on the other hand, have been struggling on the travels of late. The Pilgrims are on a three-game losing run on the road in all competitions, and given their difficulties in front of goal, Wigan will not have a better chance than this to get back on course in the League One. When the two teams met at the DW Stadium in September 2017 the Latics defeated the Pilgrims thanks to Nick Powell’s goal from the penalty spot.
