After sharing the spoils with QPR and Bristol City in the previous two league fixtures, Watford will be looking to return to winning ways when they host Preston at their Vicarage Road on Mathday 14. The Hornets have yet to find their best form in the 2020/21 Championship season, but the game against Preston could be the turning point for Vladimir Ivic’s troops. Fit-again attacker Troy Deeney is pushing for a start, while Dele-Bashiru, Hughes, Masina, and Success remain in the treatment room.

The Lilywhites, on the other hand, experienced all sorts of problems at the back in a 3-0 defeat to Blackburn Rovers, with the team dropping to 15th position in the standings. Left-back Rafferty is banned for the match, while Moult is out of contention through injury. Both Davies and Hughes are major doubts. Anyhow, home win should be considered as Preston do not seem to be at their sharpest ahead of the trip to Hertfordshire.
