Our prediction for this Belgium Pro League match:
Buoyed by a 2-0 win over Cercle Brugge, Anderlecht will be aiming to climb the standings even more when they take on Waasland-Beveren on Saturday evening. Anderlecht are undefeated in the 2020/21 season, but they need to start winning on regular basis if they are to put an end to Club Brugge’s dominance in the Belgian elite division. Defender Elias Cobbaut remains in the recovery room for the capital club with a broken ankle.
Waasland-Beveren, on the other hand, aim to put an end to their four-game losing run in the Jupiler League. The hosts obviously suffered a dip in form, and given Anderlecht’s display in the 2-0 win over Cercle Brugge, away win should be considered. Waasland-Beveren defender Maximiliano Caufriez remains on the sidelines through suspension, which is yet another reason why we are tempted to put our money on the visitors.
