Shrewsbury Town will be aiming to make amends for a 1-0 loss to Bristol Rovers when they host Rochdale at their Greenhouse Meadow on Matchday 8. The Shrews aim to escape the danger zone in the League One table, and they will not have a better chance than this to return to winning ways. In their last home game in the league Shrewsbury defeated Bolton 2-1, which is surely giving fans a reason for optimism ahead of Saturday’s clash.

It has to be noted, though, that talented Czech Republic midfielder Jan Zamburek is likely to miss the game through injury. The Dale, on the other hand, desperately needed a win against Burton, and they managed to get one thanks to Matthew Lund’s goal. Anyhow, we are tempted to put our money on the Shrews this time out as they want this win more than the visitors.
