Our prediction for this MLS match:
All eyes will be on CenturyLink Field when Seattle Sounders and Portland Timbers face each other on Monday morning. Seattle are on a quest to defend their MLS Cup trophy, and, no doubt, their recent performances are giving fans a reason for optimism. Brian Schmetzer’s troops have been impressive in front of goal of late, and they are likely to stick to their attacking style of play against Portland.
The Timbers, on the other hand, have been struggling at the back after the coronavirus football break, with the team conceding ten goals in total in the last three league fixtures. Seattle rolled over Portland 3-0 when the two teams met at Providence Park in late August, which is yet another reason why home win should be considered. A man to watch in the home team will be Peru international Raul Ruidiaz, who has netted five goals so far this term.
