Our prediction for this League 2 match:
Salford will be looking to bounce back from a 1-0 loss to Port Vale when they host Southend at their Peninsula Stadium. The Lions did suffered the defeat in their last league match, but it has to be noted that Henderson failed to convert a penalty in the first half. Salford are eager to record their first win of the season, and they will not have a better chance than this to do so.
Southend failed to impress in the 2019/20 League One season, and they continue to struggle in the League Two this term. The Seasiders made a very slow start to the season, and given their poor display in a 2-0 loss to Cheltenham Town, anything but a routine home win would be a major surprise. It has to be noted that the two teams meet for the first time ever in the English fourth tier.
