Our prediction for this League 1 match:
Crown Oil Arena will host Saturday’s relegation six-pointer between Rochdale and Tranmere Rovers. The Dale experienced all sorts of problems at the back in a 3-0 loss at Sunderland in midweek, but it is well known that they produce much better showings at home than on the travels. Full-back Norrington-Davies, who picked up a knock against the Black Cats, is likely to miss the Tranmere game with injury. The Whites, on the other hand, continue to struggle in front of goal.
Tranmere failed to find the net in the previous five league fixtures, and seeing that Rochdale are a real force to be reckoned with at home, we are tempted to put our money on Brian Barry-Murphy’s troops. It has to be noted that the visitors will be without injured defender George Ray against the Dale. In the first half of the season Rochdale defeated Tranmere 3-2 at Prenton Park.
