Rochdale and Bristol Rovers face each other at Spotland Stadium on day 10 of the new Championship campaign. The Dale made a slow start to the season, but their recent displays are surely giving fans a reason for optimism. Following back-to-back wins over Burton and Shrewsbury, Rochdale shared the spoils with Sunderland in midweek, and, no doubt, the hosts are high on spirits ahead of the visit of Bristol Rovers.

The visitors, on the other hand, experienced all sorts of problems at the back in a 3-1 defeat to Hull City, which is probably the main reason why we are tempted to put our money on the home team. It has to be noted that Bristol Rovers had no more than three goal attempts in the midweek defeat. A man to watch in the home team will be midfielder Matthew Lund, who has netted four goals so far this term.
