Following an embarrassing 1-1 draw with WBA, Liverpool will be looking to return to winning ways in the Premier League when they take on Newcastle United at St. James’ Park. The Reds aim to retain top position in the standings, and we are positive that Jurgen Klopp is going to field a very strong starting XI against the Magpies. Joel Matip, who suffered an injury in the 1-1 draw with WBA, should be fit to face Newcastle, but fellow defenders Gomez and Van Dijk remain in the treatment room.

The Magpies, on the other hand, are on a four-game winless run in all competitions. Newcastle failed to impress in a 2-0 loss to Man City, and even though key attacker Callum Wilson returns to the starting XI, we are tempted to put our money on the defending champions. In their last meeting at the venue Liverpool defeated Newcastle 3-1.
