Our prediction for this Nations League match:
All eyes will be on Johan Cruijff Arena when Netherlands and Italy face each other in the Nations League derby. The Oranje kicked off their campaign with a hard-fought 1-0 win over Lewandowski-less Poland, and, no doubt, they want to cement top position in Group 1. Liverpool ace Virgil van Dijk, who helped Netherlands keep a clean sheet in their opener, will be the man to watch in the home team.
The Azzurri, on the other hand, failed to impress in a 1-1 draw with Bosnia, with Roberto Mancini’s troops saving one point thanks to Stefano Sensi’s goal. Even though Monday’s game will be played behind closed doors, home win should be considered as Netherlands are more of a team than Italy at the moment. Italy defender Giorgio Chiellini, who was accidently left on the bench against Bosnia, is widely expected to return to the starting line-up.
