Our prediction for this Championship match:
Middlesbrough will be looking to record their first win of the season when they welcome Barnsley at their Riverside Stadium on Matchday 4. The Boro shared the spoils with QPR at the weekend, with Arsenal product Chuba Akpom opening his goal-scoring account. The 24-year-old should keep his place in the starting XI alongside Britt Assombalonga, and, no doubt, all eyes will be on the duo when Middlesbrough take on Barnsley.
The Tykes, on the other hand, have been struggling in front of goal at the start of the season. Since Barnsley have yet to find the net in the 2020/21 Championship campaign, we do not believe that they are capable of grabbing something from Saturday’s football match. In their last meeting at Riverside Stadium in the English second tier Middlesbrough defeated Barnsley thanks to Conor Chaplin’s goal.
