Our prediction for this Champions League match:
Salzburg will be aiming to book their place in the Champions League group stages for the second time in the club’s history when they take on Maccabi Tel Aviv in a two-legged tie. Maccabi set up a meeting with Salzburg by beating Dinamo Brest 1-0, but they will have a much bigger fish to fry in the playoffs. The Israelis are tough to beat at home, but keep in mind that there will be no spectators at Netanya Stadium due to the fierce of coronavirus spread.
The Red Bulls, on the other hand, did well to break the Champions League spell last term, and they surely want to repeat the success. Salzburg chiefs did not make too many changes to the squad in the summer transfer window, and seeing that Korea international Hee-Chan Hwang left the club, we are tempted to put our money on the hosts.
