There will be fireworks when Logrones and Espanyol face each other at Estadio Las Gaunas on Matchday 18. Logrones looked unstoppable in November, but, all of a sudden, they suffered a dip in form. The newcomers are on a three-game losing run in La Liga 2, and it is no wonder bookies see them as underdogs in Sunday’s clash. Espanyol, on the other hand, have been in a fine form of late, with the team beating the likes of Zaragoza, Cartagena, and Sporting Gijon in the last three league fixtures.

The Catalan side aim to overtake Mallorca in top position in the standings, and given Logrones’ poor form, away win should be considered. China international Wu Lei, who broke the deadlock in the triumph over Gijon, is pushing for a start. The two teams meet for the first time ever in the Spanish second tier.
