Our prediction for this Segunda Division match:
All eyes will be on Estadio Municipal de Butarque when Leganes and Las Palmas face each other in the opening game of the season. After failing to impress in the 2019/20 La Liga season, Leganes are on a quest to secure a quick return to the Spanish top flight. The club chiefs did well to sign Borja Baston from Aston Villa in the summer transfer window, with Jose Luis Marti being appointed as the team’s new manager. The capital club are eager to secure automatic promotion to La Liga, but keep in mind that Roque Mesa, Szymanowski, Recio, Guerrero, Carrillo, and Marc Navarro are some of the players who left the club.
Las Palmas, on the other hand, finished the last Segunda Division campaign in style, with the team rolling over Extremadura 5-1, but that did not help them secure a place in the playoffs. Seeing that Las Palmas are not regarded as good travelers, we are tempted to put our money on Leganes.
