Sporting Gijon aim to build on back-to-back wins over Ponferradina and Alcorcon, and, no doubt, they are eager to overtake Espanyol in top position in the standings. The promotion-chasing hosts are brimming with confidence ahead of Monday’s clash, and they should take advantage of Castellon’s poor form.

Serbia international Uros Djurdjevic, who found the net in the midweek clash, is widely expected to lead the line for the hosts. The visitors are on a four-match losing run ahead of the trip to Asturias, and we do not believe that they are capable of spoiling Sporting’s party at Estadio El Molinon. It has to be noted that Castellon midfielder Marc Mateu misses the game through suspension as he was sent off in the 2-1 loss to Almeria.
