Our prediction for this Belgium Pro League match:
Genk were not in action in midweek as their game against Eupen was postponed due to a new coronavirus outbreak. De Smurfen are eager to make amends for a 1-0 loss to Anderlecht, with the team eyeing their fifth consecutive win at home in the Jupiler League. Genk were impressive in the Belgian top flight in November, and seeing that they aim to melt Club Brugge’s advantage to two points, home win should be considered.
Kortrijk, on the other hand, aim to build on a 2-1 win over Standard Liege. De Kerels failed to find the net in the previous two away games in the national championship, and given Genk’s thrilling winning run at home soil, we predict that the visitors are going to return to West Flanders empty-handed. In their last meeting at Luminus Arena Genk recorded a 2-1 win over Kortrijk.
