CSKA Sofia will be looking to put an end to their five-game winless run in Group A when they host Roma at their Stadion Balgarska Armija on Thursday evening. The Bulgarian side did well to hold Cluj to a goalless draw in their last group game, but they face an uphill task against the group leaders. CSKA Sofia outplayed Botev Plovdiv 3-0 in the national championship at the weekend, and, no doubt, the triumph gave them a confidence boost.

Roma, on the other hand, aim to finish the process in style, and they are likely to stick to their attacking style of play. Even though several first-team regulars will be rested in Thursday’s clash, we are tempted to put our money on the Group A leaders. The likes of Mancini, Zaniolo, Smalling, and Pastore are all ikely to miss the game with injury.
