Our prediction for this League 1 match:
All eyes will be on Alexandra Stadium when Crewe and Wigan square off against each other in the League One showdown. The Railwaymen were not in action at the weekend as Omar Beckles was tested positive for coronavirus before the clash against Oxford United. Beckles is out of contention for the Wigan game, but Crewe are still seen as slim favourites to win Saturday’s football match.
The Latics, on the other hand, aim to build on back-to-back wins over Portsmouth and Doncaster. However, the club chiefs were forced to sell several first-team regulars in the summer, which is probably the main reason why we are tempted to put our money on the newcomers this time out. It has to be noted that the two teams meet for the first time in the League One since 2016 when they played out a 1-1 draw.
