Our prediction for this League 2 match:
Cheltenham Town and Mansfield Town go head to head at Whaddon Road on day 8 of the new League Two campaign. The Robins aim to build on back-to-back wins over Southend and Scunthorpe, and they are seen as favourites to win Saturday’s football game. Keep in mind, though, that teenage midfielder Elliot Bonds and George Lloyd are likely to miss the match with injury.
Mansfield, on the other hand, have yet to record a win in the 2020/21 League Two campaign. The Yellows head into the game with the lack of confidence, but the good news for the visiting team is that midfielder George Lapslie returns from suspension. Anyhow, home win should be considered as Cheltenham Town have been producing splendid displays in the English fourth tier of late. In their last meeting at Whaddon Road Cheltenham recorded a hard-fought 1-0 win over Mansfield.
