Cercle Brugge did well to make amends for back-to-back defeats to Charleroi and Waregem, but they will have big fish to fry in the game against the high-flying Smurfen. Genk did not make a flying start to the season, but they seem to be at their sharpest ahead of the trip to Bruges.

John van den Brom’s troops created a number of opportunities to score in the crushing of Mouscron, and they are surely capable of beating Cercle Brugge behind closed doors. A man to keep an eye on in the away team will be Theo Bongonda, who scored a brace at the weekend. In their last meeting at Jan Breydel Stadion Genk recorded a 2-1 win over Cercle Brugge.
