Our prediction for this EFL Cup match:
Manchester City will be aiming to make amends for an embarrassing 5-2 loss to Leicester City when they take on Burnley at Turf Moor in the EFL Cup last 16. Pep Guardiola’s men have no other choice but to go all guns blazing at the Clarets, and even though Kun Aguero remains in the recovery room, we believe that away win should be considered. Seeing that Gabriel Jesus is out of contention through injury as well, Raheem Sterling is widely expected to lead the line for the star-studded visitors.
Burnley, on the other hand, booked their place in the last 16 by beating Sheffield United and Millwall, but they will have a much bigger fish to fry in Wednesday’s football match. The Clarets failed to impress in a 1-0 loss to Southampton, and seeing that Sean Dyche has a number of selection worries, we are tempted to put our money on the visitors.
