Monday’s game between Brighton and Southampton will bring down the curtain on day 11 of the new Premier League campaign. The Seagulls showed character in their last league match, with the team coming from behind to share the spoils with title-holders Liverpool, and, no doubt, they are high on confidence ahead of the visit of Southampton. Despite failing to convert a penalty in the 1-1 draw with Jurgen Klopp’s troops, Neal Maupay will be the man to watch in the home team.

The Saints experienced all sorts of problems at the back in a 3-2 loss to Manchester United, and seeing that Danny Ings is unlikely to recover in time to face the Seagulls, home win should be considered. In their last encounter in the English top flight the two teams played out a 1-1 draw, but we are tempted to put our money on Brighton this time out as they produced a fine display in their last league fixture.
