After suffering a 1-0 loss to Morecambe on Tuesday evening, Barrow will be aiming to give fans some cheer when they take on Salford City on Matchday 16. The first half of the season has been a mixed bag for the newcomers, who sit in the 21st place in the standings. Barrow are eager to escape the danger zone, but they will have a big fish to fry in Saturday’s clash against the promotion-chasing side.

Experienced defender Sam Hird is sidelined through suspension, and the 33-year-old is going to be sorely missed against Salford. The Lions, on the other hand, aim to bounce back from a 2-1 loss to Carlisle. Since a win over Barrow could see Salford City climb to the League Two playoffs berth, we are tempted to put our money on the visiting team. Keep in mind, though, that the Lions attacker Ian Henderson is likely to miss the game with injury.
